Landing pages for ChatGPT ads: what to check after the click
Review message match, offer details, page access and the main conversion path before spending on traffic.

Open your landing page beside the ad and read them in sequence. The visitor should recognize the offer immediately, without searching a homepage menu for the service you advertised.
Before commissioning a redesign, check whether the existing page can explain one offer clearly and accept the intended action reliably. Fix a missing offer detail or broken form before deciding whether you need a new page.
Continue the promise in the ad
If the ad promises reminders for independent studios, put that use case near the top of the page. Show how the product handles it and who it is suitable for. A broad company introduction can wait.
OpenAI’s ad guide asks for a relevant destination. Its ad policies also require the destination to accurately represent the offer and advertiser.
Answer the questions that block the next action
For a trial, explain what is included, whether a payment card is required and what happens afterward. For a service, state the scope, who it is for and how the next conversation works.
Use real product images or authorized examples. Label illustrations and hypothetical outcomes. A selected testimonial should remain within what the person actually said, with permission to publish it.
Choose one primary action that matches the campaign goal. Secondary links can help someone research, but the main path should be easy to identify on a phone.
Test access and the successful path
- Load the final ad URL in a fresh browser and on a mobile viewport.
- Follow redirects and check the campaign tags survive where needed.
- Complete the form, trial or checkout with controlled test data.
- Check error messages, required fields and the successful confirmation.
- Verify that the conversion event follows success rather than a failed attempt.
Review systems need to access the destination too. Check crawler access, public assets and whether a login or challenge blocks evaluation. Fix the cause carefully; do not expose private customer areas to make a public page reviewable.
Diagnose what happens after visitors arrive
If clicks arrive but actions do not, inspect page access and the success path before blaming audience relevance. If the form fails, suitable visitors cannot complete the action either.
When the technical path works, examine the offer. Are visitors asked for more commitment than the ad suggested? Are price, availability or qualification conditions hidden until late?
Use the conversion tracking guide to verify measurement. Keep a short change note when repairing the page. The next review should separate a fixed technical failure from a revised sales message.
